Gaming Is the DSi XL worth it?

I plan on getting a DSi XL 25th Anniversary edition or a white DSi on Christmas(I'm paying most of it). I was simply wondering if the XL was really that good, especially the improved battery life, since I'm planning on using the thing with a DSTWO. Also, what else is improved aside from battery life and(obviously) the screen size? Speaking of which, how are the screens? The other option would be to wait until my trusty ol' Lite dies and get a 3DS then.

The gorgeous screens and amazing speakers really does bring you into the game better. I'd say it's worth it.

no other improvements than the normal dsi but it is worth it. check out the next page of topics in this forum and there is a topic with the same name and see what other people think. There is no question of DSI or DSIXL, the actual question is DSIXL or 3DS

I'm going out on a limb and saying yes.

The screens are surprisingly good and the system is very comfortable to hold. Not to mention how much awesome stuff is on DSiWare that looks great on said screens.

The DSiXL is what the DSi should have been.

Well, I currently get money by selling R4's at my school and by jailbreaking iPods, but I'll be in legal age to have an actual job this year, so money shouldn't be a problem.

Then if you're not having problems for money, grab a DSi XL. And besides, chances are you won't even get a 3DS right away because stores will be sold out of them to increase the demand. DSi XL > DSi.

My Lite is in great shape, so by the time it dies, we should be at least 9 months into the 3DS's life cycle.

sorry, would have preferred a burgundy one. That is a really cool colour, but i can't carry a red DS just as much as i can't carry a pink one
