But in his case the System Menu definetly runs on IOS36. He has priiloader and the only IOS that has the es_identify patch on his Wii is IOS36.

I somehow doubt that. I would like to see a dop-mii report. Syscheck even reported my wanin/hermes cios as stubs back when they were rev4/rev17

Hmm Syscheck sounds really crappy. I never used it so I didn't know.

Well can't hurt to use a patched IOS60 as the System Menus IOS, that's for sure.

But I would also like to see a dop-ios report.

Hmm didn't know that they changed it from DOP-IOS mod to DOP-Mii.
Afaik there was a program called DOP-Mii some time ago that upated your Mii channel. Or I totally have my wires crossed. XD

Well nobody is perfect. He should ofcourse use DOP-Mii for all his needs.

DOP-Mii is a mod of DOP-IOS with new features and many bugfixes. So use DOP-Mii. Download it from here:http://code.google.com/p/dop-mii/downloads...mp;can=2&q=
You can also remove IOS 3,4,10,16 and 51. These are stubs. And Patch IOS 70, because you are on 4.2E.
Doesn't dop-mii have an auto-stub-remover?

I don't think so!! lol
Well according to the dop-mii wiibrew article it does:
QUOTE(http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Dop-mii)
Detect and delete stubbed IOSs

Just to be sure.

I'll use DOP-Mii and patch IOS 70.
Do I have to remove those other IOS's (3,4,10,16 and 51)

Anything else I should do?

You don't need to remove stubs, they do no harm.

Ah okay. What exactly is a stub? Maybe If I understand what these things are it will be easier for me. btw am I right about that I should patch IOS70?

A stub is a non-function ios that is placed there by nintendo because the ios isn't used anymore or to prevent people from installing custom ios' in those slots. For example. Ios 60 was used for system menu 4.0/4.1. After the release of 4.2, ios 60 was made a stub. They also installed stubs in 222/223 249/250 to prevent people from installing backup-ios'

A stub is a useless IOS that waste your wii space and block the real IOSes. Yes, your should patch your system IOS 70. And to the syscheck: It's normal that it shows that its running under IOS 36.

That are answers I have been looking for, thanks! It's very clear what to do now, I'm going to install this IOS and report back when I found other issue's.

Well that was fast. It installed it super quick and it was over before I realised it. I believe IOS70 is now enabled. But the backup is still freezing. Actually it froze earlier this time, but I think that just a coincidence. Did I installed it wrong? or is there another problem?

BTW I have another small problem:

It looks like the screen can't fit on my TV. I can't read the most left letters because they don't fit in the screen. any idea why?
