Hacking Is my sysNand ready for A9LH?

I have an N3DS XL with sysNand on version 9.0 that I mainly use with my Gateway card. But I also have CtrBootManager with AuReiNand CFW and rxTools running using emuNand 10.7.

I have these two modifications installed to the sysNand:

• Downgraded System Settings for MSET Gateway Loading
  
• Patched AGB Firm for GBA VC games
  
• MenuHax with autoboot

Will these modifications affect the process of getting the OTP and installing A9LH or should I format sysNand before? Anything else I should do before?

Patched AGB and Menuhax wont affect anything.

I don't know about downgraded System Settings though..

Back up your emunand, back up all your sd card files, "Downgrade" your emunand to 9.2.0 in your respective region (or just restore a 9.2 nand.bin you might have on-hand), then format it twice with TinyFormat.cia (you might need to re-inject FBI if it deletes it after the first/second format.

Then, install sysupdater.cia to emunand, downgrade it to 2.1.0. It will look bricked, because no CFW currently can run 2.1.0 firmware. Despite that, turn on your internet for emunand, don't change your home menu theme/do anything else, back up your sysnand, unbrick your emunand with OTPHelper, back up the 2.1.0 emunand and flash it to your sysnand.

That should alleviate any issues/incompatibilities you'd have with the guide.

No because it's just setting all title information to "zero" essentially. It won't magically re-install title versions it thinks it should of had.

Formatting sysnand won't remove the modifications, but flashing your cleanly-downgraded 2.1.0 EmuNAND to SysNAND will.

This won't matter, though: You're supposed to back up sysnand before flashing the 2.1.0 emunand to sysnand, dump the OTP, and restore your original sysnand dump, so you'll have everything you originally did when you started, plus the otp.bin and otpx108.bin dumps.

I want to say yes, but I also am not entirely sure. If you followed what I suggested in my earlier post, you are guaranteed to be fine.

(Although it would be nice if someone else could confirm your current setup so you don't do any unnecessary tasks that take up your time)

Do not forget to Unbrick your 2.1 Emunand before Flashing it to Sysnand since you're on a N3DS, its very important.

put the correct system settings (CIA on that iso site) back on sysnand then do this guide

FBI will install the CIA without needing to delete the existing MSET as it is an upgrade of MSET.
agb_firm will not affect the downgrade and menuhax will not affect anything as 2.1 has no theme support to even trigger the hax.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not going to stop posting, but I will probably temporarily chip in information than give actual directions. Sorry to be so dramatic, haha.

Just read the guide before doing it. I have almost sure It was written somewhere(at least when i did) to unninstall agb\twl patches. but If its not there then its probably safe to keep as it is.

EDIT: It says on which step u must unbrick emunand. just read everything carefully

I just read the guide until part 3 and one thing came to my mind. In the guide EmuNand9 is used to make the emuNand, but I used the Gateway Launcher to create my emuNand.

So can I use my existing GW emuNand and start right at part 4 or should recreate an emuNand with EmuNand9?

Recreate it with emuNand9, GW omits stuff or has extra stuff that won't work correctly on the restore from what I've read. If you have GW you may want to wait for their solution or you may end up doing extra work. I haven't done A9LH yet and at this point I'm just waiting for them.
