That's the whole question really. I remember something happened when Sun and Moon came out where Nintendo banned some players. I'd be playing with a real game card, not a CIA.

Thanks

Huh. Seems that there's a few very dumb people commenting here. I didn't say I have the game yet did I? It is due tomorrow though according to the tracking info, and I expect that's the case for a few thousand other people in the UK.

Well yes, a lot of online places send them out early but you'll still get banned for playing online before release date. Even online, the item is NOT supposed to be shipped before streetdate even though they ship them early to make sure you have it by then. They are still breaking streedate and as such Nintendo won't give two fucks if you got in the mail a day early and went online; they'll more than likely still ban you.

I dunno, I suspect they have a grace period of a few days. Anyway the thread isn't meant to be about playing early, it's meant to be about playing on a hacked system. I might ask again when North America is asleep.

Your question directly asks about getting it early. Why even mention it if that wasn't a concern? Yes, you can play any retail game on a hacked console. That should have been answered when you installed your CFW in the first place.

Also, we're all insomniacs over here. America does not sleep.

Also speaking through observations from last year at the release of SUMO there is definitely no grace period before streetdate. Period.

Playing a game online that you have bought is safe provided you wait til the street date. It CANNOT get you banned unless you played the game early. it will not trip any flags on nintendo's side. If you do get banned, it's for something else.
