Hello Everyone. I have two SD Cards. Is it safe to switch sd cards on my 3DS multiple times? For example, currently, I use my 4GB SD card and tomorrow I want to change to my 8GB sd card. Or turn again back to 4GB card. Is it safe do this multiple times or it will harm 3DS?

It is fine as long as you switch off your console when changing cards. Otherwise the cards will get corrupted.

Copy and paste everything from 4 GB to 8 GB card. The eshop's downloaded game patches can be a problem on a card vs the other card with none.

Every time I insert the other SD Card my 3DS is closed. So yes at least I always follow this step.

I have both full of different games. I have a 256 GB SD card but I used it for my Switch so now I am with these full of games. I will buy a bigger one

Thank you very much both.

Can also remind you that the card spring and contacts may be faster to tear with all these card swaps. You better get a big card or two consoles.
