so if the tablet portion of my console breaks i can not order a new part from Nintendo? they will expect me to buy a whole new system?
i don't think this is the case or if it is it won't be for long, i mean they didn't do this with the wii u did they? I'm pretty sure you could order a new system minus gamepad or a new gamepad minus system from them

Pennies is an understatement by far when talking about the price of the joycons (modular, ir camera, motion sensing, hd rumble etc). However, I do think they make more of a profit selling the joycons separate from the switch than off of the switch itself.

because if you subtract the price of a pair of joycons , price of a dock and price of a joycon grip
you get $100 for the tablet portion
if they were to try and charge people $250 for a replacement tablet then they would be like WTF so the joycons ,dock and grip are really only worth $50 ?then why did you just charge me $150 for them last week?
like to see how they would be able to explain that one , that they are overcharging their customers by $150 for the rest of the shit
