i dont think Flashme is being developed (I havent heard anything about it). Its doing everything people want it to do. But if you dont want to buy a game, you could buy a "dummy" cart to put in there.

Or you could Hit your local EB Games or Gamestop and buy a cheap-o "Madagascar" (or other game) to have in the slot.

I have real game carts, but for battery life, it would be best not to have anything in Slot 1 while running flashcarts.

There are two things that it could add:

1, flashme recognise the latest DS Lite firmware, so that it doesn't produce the warning message
2, noflashme restore the latest DS Lite firmware

Then it would be just about perfect (until even newer firmware is released).

I don't think it is possible to have a FlashMe go into sleep mode, because AFAIK it works with the hardware on the DS side (pins 1 & 7 i believe).
Someone proved this by linking those pins on his DS lite and it went into sleep mode, if you don't want a card in that might be your only choice.
