Mame via reicast works great
Or yes you could go the Linux way.
PCSX-R is the one where we can alter the render resolution and add widescreen hacks right? Stuff sony would call a "remaster" lol.

There are so many games that work on that firmware though, there must be some games you missed or maybe would not have tried if you didnt have a hacked system.
Is it confirmed for a 2020 release?
No, they said possible late 2019 to 2020 but they didn't confirmed for a 2020 release, thought. I said 2020 because of my guessing date release. I hope so because I am so getting it.
I would be very surprised if its 2019.
I hope so but I doubt.
most games that people want to play are on higher firmware
I dont know how I can disprove that, but most games are already playable. I mean sure people want spider-man, red dead 2 and maybe a few others... but most of the library is already playable.
Most of the library != games that people want to play. It's rather subjective but people may be more interested in playing the newer games because they can't or just because they are newer.
I've played through a couple of ps4 games. I'd play Gran Turismo Sport, but the PSN requirement means I can't. There are probably a couple more games that I might want to play from <=5.05, if I could be bothered to look at the back catalogue but that is now outweighed by games that I see advertised now that I can't play.
also with games that need ps plus, sadly the ps4 doesn't have emunand
No emunand!!!??? I did not realize that!
yep the ps4 scene is a bit slow when it comes to content releases. they haven't really release anything BIG yet......
this, its disappointing I cant do much else except backup games.
yea i did wish for more stuff to do on the ps4, but i guess we all just gotta have patience
