Nope, the Switch saves the update version and if you try to downgrade the game won't work, even if you format the console.Stupid flan... of wait this is a legit question for once.
I'm not sure, i would assume its similar to other Nintendo systems where you can go into the system settings and uninstall but I've never been online so not sure
Possible with CFW, it could even happen some time soon with hateko since it should be a pretty simple patch. You can't officially downgrade games on switch(For example, downgrade Mario Odyssey from 1.2.0 to 1.0.0), it will be possible anytime soon? or will be imposible like downgrade the system itself?

Cartridges are read-only hence why the saves are stored on the system so I'm guessing that data is also on the switchSo where is the update saved? On the cart or the system? I think i remember someone with a botw 000 cart that had a similar issie now that i think about it

What I'm understanding from this thread is that if I lose my game card and buy a replacement, if the version numbers on the new game card don't match the version associated with my game save, then the save is incompatible
That sucks
Only if the replacement is older than the version on the original cart, and only if you don't update the game. What I'm understanding from this thread is that if I lose my game card and buy a replacement, if the version numbers on the new game card don't match the version associated with my game save, then the save is incompatible
