Hey Everyone,
I have a couple of questions before making my Emunand, just to make sure i dont f*ck up.
Before my current state: Right now I’m only using cfw without Emunand
,never been online, saved the fuses and having an old clean backup.

Question:
1. Is there a way to keep my on the sd card installed games even with creating the Emunand ? Or can i only backup my save data and recreate them later...

2. How does the Emunand exactly functionate? Is the Emunand in his Partition and the cfw on the rest of the sd card also the Games are installed outside the Partition right ? So there is no problem to have cfw on the sdcard while in the Sysnand ?

3. Just to make sure that I'm not fault could you check my steps ? (With erasing everything even the installed games)
- First of all create a Backup of the Nand, Boot etc.
- Then backing up my save games onto the Pc.
- format my sd card with all the (trash) on it, return hekate to it with the clean Nand.
- restore my clean Nand with Hekate.
- Update the system firmware officially threw the options and burn the fuses (i dont really care for them after that).
- Making sure to put the Airplane mode On.
- Boot again to Hekate and create the Emunand on a Partition.
- From here on i can for example install backups normaly with goldleaf in the Emunand right?
- Restore my save data.
- Like that I’m save to play my Legit Games online with the Sysnand or did i make any mistake ?

Sorry for all the questioning, just want to be 100% sure before going online with my switch.
And thank you everyone!
Ps: Pressed accidentally enter while editing the title, looks like can’t chenge it now .

  1. emuMMC is initially just a copy of sysMMC so whatever games were installed on the SD card will be carried over. Any games installed after making emuMMC will not be carried over
  2. emuMMC is a copy of your console that exists on the SD card. It still reads the files for CFW on the SD card much like sysMMC but any modifications made to emuMMC will not be applied to the console
  3. I don't understand why you want to make your emuMMC clean especially since you want to go online with sysMMC. It makes more sense to do the restoration of your clean dump after setting up emuMMC not before
