Hacking Is Atmosphere more stable/compatible than SX OX?

Read through the forums. Most posted needing help are with atmosphere users. SX OS works and you don't need to jump through hoops to get it working properly.

From personal experience I can tell that sx os crashes regularly, while atmosphere never has crashed for me, ever.

I keep on seeing people posting how unstable SX OS is, but personally since buying it from day 1 release I've never had a single crash with SX OS on any game.

I did buy a GOOD name brand SD card and formatted it as FAT32, so maybe that is the difference - people using cheaper SD cards and using exFAT.

Not at all. I'd even say the opposite. Aside from modules like cht-whatever-the-fuck (little addons, that SX usually has the same thing of - but better), SX is FAR less buggy and FAR more user friendly with more built in features. I'd go SX. It can do practically everything Atmos can do, and more.

if you're having a hard time deciding, you can do what i did, and setup dual-boot. so if i'm in sxos and i want atmosphere, no problem. if im atmosphere and want to switch to sxos for code testing, again no problem. yes, dual-setup is a little more advanced, but if you got a license (like i do) then why not have both?

I installed atmosphere through the home-brew app store and I reload to atmosphere within SX OX menu. Will this way allow me to get the most out of atmosphere(using both CFW)? Is this considered dual-boot?

If you can reboot back in sxos from atmosphere, then yes, it's dual boot

Payload launcher and and the .bin payload will do it. I switch from atmos to sx os and back without a payload launcher.

How is that? SX OX is a .dat file not a .bin?

Ah, I got it!

SX OX has a .bin file you can get if not the .dat file. simple drag and drop into the payloads folder. I am now able to switch back and forth between both CFW.

i think the main problem Op had is using software from the homebrew shop all together in my experience most of the time files are out dated on there to begin with or just not updated fast enough to be update with current firmware release and has nothing to do with the OS as i had this issue both on SX and will using caffein on a patched switched it boiled down to just old files ones i downloaded new and current files for edizon and all was well.

on the Os debate i personally think Sx is just cleaner and less problem prone all together vs its free alternative in it current incarnation i mean if you think about it nps installing or piracy was never intended by it developer at all yet people wanna play devils advocate over whats better sx or atmosphere when really there the same thing in essence yes Sx stole code as many point out in every single post they answer you know who you are even it if has nothing to do with the topic at hand. but isnt hetake or kosmos the exact same freaking thing but free? its atmospheres same code but rebuilt with piracy enabled yet no one is pitch forking them in everypost.

in conclusion OS debates are just blatantly stupid has hell
you wanna run a complicated set up with usb and wifi to transfer games one by one use atmosphere
you wanna copy and paste files in 1 go and have hhd support and not have to install every single game use SX os
thats what it boils down to
