Hi all,
I was on SX OS with FW 11.0.0, the games were working well however when inserting a cartridge (Zelda), I was getting "The game card could not be read".

I was planning to migrate from SX OS to Atmosphere, so I followed a guide, and I can now successfully boot to Atmosphere 1.5.1.

I also updated the NSW firmware from 11.0.0 to 16.0.0 successfully.

I added "nogc = 0" in my stratosphere.ini, I updated my hekate_ipl.ini with autonogc=0

So I had some hope the error will be gone, but I'm still getting "The game card could not be read"

I believe this is something related to my previous config with SX OS, any ideas how I can troubleshoot / fix this ?

I restarted few times the console already (with different config)
The console was able to read the GC but not to start the game with SX OS
Now it's not reading at all the GC.

What I did :
- Upgraded firmware to 16.0
- Cleared cache
- Made more space on disk + sd card

Fixed - Edit : When I boot in Stock, the game is working fine

once you upgrade a firmware and upgrade the Game Cart, that Game Cart will NEVER works on a lower firmware, so if you update your firmware to 16. SXOS will never be able to use the Game Cart because SXOS needs a lower firmware.

now is time to completele migrate to Atmosphère and leave SXOS the only feature "missed" is the direct loading of XCI files, but came on, really you play thousands of games at time, with a big enough SD you can have installed several games at time, and today you can use DBI to install and remove files via network fast and easy.

Having a similar issue with my switch, however when I boot to OFW I still get the card reader error here.
I'm on 16.0.3, I updated to that with the AIO updater, I'm not sure though which version I was on prior though.
I tried downgrading to 9.0.1 as I saw in the Hekate it showed that somewhere with HOS. Then booted OFW and let it update, it updated right to 16.0.3 but still cant read game cards.
I'm thinking the firmware on the game card is on and older version and thats why its not working? I would think the OFW update would update the card reader no matter which firmware the system had beforehand but idk.
I know its at least not a config issue with the nogc setting as I was able to boot my other switch with my sdcard and use its card slot. Don't want to keep using that switch though as it isn't banned.
Is there a way to tell what firmware the card reader is on or update it?
