For a while now Adobe Flash was annoying me to update it on Firefox and today I read that Firefox's pretty much blocked Adobe Flash completely so I just uninstalled the damn thing now. Firefox seems to be working better without those damned screens of Adobe Flash to upgrade.

Here's an article of Adobe Flash & Firefox: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-33520935

If the security woes were not a kick in the nuts to it then when various mobile things pointedly ignored it and everybody started using those more and more it was the beginning of the end.

Personally I found it outstayed its welcome become I even booted Java off machines I am tasked with keeping running, however I could not lose it as easily as I could Java.

Really, the only thing preventing me from uninstalling Flash altogether is Twitch. I'd use Livestreamer, but it adds a massive amount of delay for me, and it's simply not as convenient as using the theater mode in Twitch.

i always have automatic updates turned off and this message had appeared me every once in a while, it's when i finally decide to update it
this adobe stuff is non sense. i know its security updates blablabla, almost every time, but that does show how it is crappy to begin with if there are so many holes.. and it needs so many security updates then we should have an alternative that is not so failed...
i could live happy without this crap,

i am still thinking their security bullshit is just the same crap nintendo does with "stability updates"

If you set up your player correctly with a very small buffer it will actually have less delay than the twitch player.

The sooner Flash goes away, the better will be.

Adobe just doesn't know how to write a piece of software and even if it didn't have more holes than a Swiss cheese, it's still an horribly outdated piece of technology which doesn't fit anymore in today's world.

I have Flash installed still, but it's disabled by default on my browser. I enable it on a page if it's needed, but I haven't had to do that in quite some time.

Ah, it seems it's better if I use VLC. I used to use MPC-HC, but it probably wants a bigger buffer or something. It works well now. RIP Flash I guess.

How do I set up VLC or MPC as a Flash replacement? This kind of affects dirty pervert me, because the porn tube sites use flash.

It'll be a shame not to be able to access Flash programs but I think its for the better it is removed as such a common web utility.
I'd prefer to run many flash based games and applications in a program much like an emulator would load a rom.
Video players really don't do the trick since navigation controls are still bound to the keyboard, usually the space bar which many games use will pause the game and cause problems.
Though its really old games by now anyway.

Sides I prefer to block all of flash anyway just cause of how out of control those advertisements get.

Ya time to move on flash isn't really needed anymore.
Though I'm sure someone will come up with a replacement, I hear many get fed up with HTML5 and Java so likely we'll see something pop up.

Heh what else do we watch besides TV streaming services, yt, and porn ? Html5 has all those
Heck, there's probably even web-based games that use HTML5.

Although Interactive Buddy is the shit, we need him in HTML5 so Java can die off peacefully without losing him.

Yeah I saw how you could make html5 games but in this age are games like that even relevant?
