So I found an 8GB iPod on the ground a few days ago, I just loaded it up with about 6GB of music from Winamp, and now it doesn't turn on (I think it wasn't turning on before I loaded music onto it, but earlier I merely thought it was out of battery) unless plugged into a charging source, and it is fully charged. It's a 3rd generation light blue (if colour matters) nano.

Hold the Menu and the center buttons down until the ipod does a reset. It should work fine after that.

Take it apart and see if the battery contacts are bent or damaged from the fall, iPods can be powered on without a battery at all

how do i do that w/o damaging it? theres no screws or anything (i also can't see any stickers or anything covering screws)

edit: dewback i cant reset it with itunes because i have an obsolete version that is being a bitch and won't let me update
