So apparently there's pictures floating around presumably of the new iPhone 5, take a gander

As you can see it's boasting a larger screen, and a mini adapter which is sure to piss off alot of manufacturers as they put docking plugs on almost every piece of electronics produced now. Also they've apparently moved the headphone port to the bottom left of the phone as well, god knows why

I am sorry Catboy it is Micro Simcards they do allow... No Micro SD cards D:

Looks like a micro sim I am not 100% sure though

Its Apple so unless they start making micro sd cards i very much doubt it, they do hate sharing the market with anyone when it comes to their own products
 
I don't see it happening to be honest, they just usually put a large amount of storage on board
 
A different dock connector seems most unreasonable/improbable. They have used the same connector shape for years. Probably a no for the microsd because apple likes their products locked down and closed. Who knows about the different screen size. I would say they'll probably use the same screen size, but we will see.

Im happy with my 32gb iphone 3gs, more than enough space for me
 
I really despise how those purported backs look. For the casing, Apple usually sticks with just one piece of material (look at the back of nearly every iPhone design). If they have to, say, make a window for the antennas, they usually do so as discretely as possible (see the Apple logo on the back of iPads). To me, it doesn't make sense to make the back mostly metal with glass (or plastic? Probably glass…) on the top and bottom, unless it actually serves a function.

On a related note, 9to5Mac put up an article with a stupendous amount of details not too long ago, detailing what's in the next iPhone.

This is a big reason why I don't like iPhones:

a) I don't want to have to rely on iTunes for everything.
b) That god awful cable plug of theirs, why can't it just be a USB?
c) When I bought my Xperia Arc, it came with 16gb MicroSD. Which is great because of MSD's being dirt cheap now, and getting the same results as the memory of the iPhone.
d) The phone costs a lot more than what it's worth and what it costs to make.

Apple will NEVER utilize external storage, the furthest it can go is possibly cloud storage. Maybe that's why iCloud is so heavily promoted.

As for the iPhone, it looks just okay. I mean really, to me it looks better than the original and 3G(S), but not as good as 4(S). If the screen is 16:9, then count me in.

Just like with Flash, Apple want to refuse to use external storage to such an extent that everyone else will see the folly of their ways, abandon all forms of SD cards and follow the Apple master race.

You could get yourself an AirStash for that.... Or a lovely CloudFTP :wub:


About the iPhone... its like for every iPhone, when the newest comes out I'll get the last one... 4S for me. This one won't help me some months in anyways... no Jailbreak = no iPhone.
