in a nutshell for experienced modders...
will an autobooting indiana jones iso work with a busted ios60 from the firmware screen?? (i think ios60 is the one that boots discs from the disc channel)

more detail...
ok so i did more research and i need someone to tell me if this would work. apparently you can modify burned isos to autoboot from the screen with the firmware in the lower right. with the research ive done im confident i can do that without fail. i wouldve tried already with my indiana jones iso, but alas i have no cds big enough to hold 4.3 gb... i will buy some if someone can confirm that this idea will work or not. i think the busted ios is ios60 cuz thats what the wii uses to boot discs i think... will this still work regardless?

I thought 1.0.8 prevented deletion with update 4.3 O.o
you think i deleted ios60? no i just screwed it up

EDIT: do you really need a modchip to run discs from recovery mode?

yeah, the modchip enables the autoboot of backup games in the recovery menu.

also, the game ISO file must be set to autoboot as well.

You are on SM 4.3, which runs off IOS80.

Nothing to do with IOS60, which is likely to be stubbed if you updated officially.

ok... after having exhausted every single idea that i can think of, im giving up and buying a new wii off ebay... i might keep the broken one and wait for 4.4 and see if that does it, but ill probly just sell it. thank you all for your help and insight. feel free to close this topic :\

final conclusions...
you absolutely cannot fix a 4.3 semi-bricked wii without exploits, homebrew or a modchip. if 4.4 or higher is available by the time you read this there is hope. reread this topic and figure out how to boot discs in recovery mode and update your wii system menu, that might fix it... if 4.3 is still the most recent when you read this then give up and buy a new wii.

Any 4.3 exploit can fix this, use Indiana Pwns or Smash Stack to install HBC.
Then you will be able to run almost any application using the method. Run an application to reinstall IOS36 and you are ready.

dude he knows what's up, and basically not only your IOS36 is corrupt it seems the majority of your IOS are messed up

How do you know all your IOS are messed up? I read the whole thread and I can only find information about modding IOS36 (it was giantpune who supposed you had all other IOSesmessed up, based on the poor information you are giving), so all your other IOSes should be fine.

What games did you try? Really, did you try more than two games? Go to the Shop Channel and download some free Nintendo Channels and check if they work.

wtf are you both talking about?

and you can go ahead and ignore the "Oll mi IOSez R kurrrubt". unless he specifically did something to mess them up, that simply doesnt happen
