Apple iOS 4.2 fixs fast battery drain?

So the new iOS 4.2 will be out 10AM Pacific time tomorrow and unlike iOS 4.1 kills the battery even when I have been closing off the apps with SDSettings
lets just hope that Apple has fixed the problem!

lets pray that Apple has fixed the issue currently to resolve my issue with iOS 4.1
I downgraded to 3.1.3 tell a fix is out

Here's a changelog, I'm not sure if it's complete or not but it doesn't mention anything about a battery fix.

it is not fixed in 4.2 GM so will it be fixed in the iOS 4.2?

If they manage to fix the battery and speed issues on the iphone 3g than I'll finally be able to reupdate.
