Gaming Inverted colours on my DSi screen

For a while now my DSi screen has had inverted colours, it shows a negative. I can't get it repaired without paying Nintendo and I'd rather not, as the last time that happened they called a broken button a "motherboard error" and tried to make me pay $100. I was wondering if there is any other way to fix it? Like, if there were some homebrew application that inverted colours, and maybe if I inverted and un-inverted them, it would eventually stay uninverted?

is only one screen displaying inverted colours? if so, chances are that the display somehow got damaged and needs to be replaced.

Yeah, I believe that means the screen was cracked, and all that LCD goodness has spilled out and gotten all hallucinogenic.
Did you get angry at a game and slam your DS on the counter? Cuz that's what happened to my ds.
