Wow that is alot.

I recently upgraded from $60 - 15gig to $60 - 90gig
But now I'm pissed because about a month after that, that $50 - 120gig plan showed up.

People here in the US pay different prices. They can range anywhere from $10 (dial-up) to $100+ (cable packages).

A great majority also depends on where you live. The rural areas can only access dial-up, satellite internet, and mobile broadband. Cities and large towns get access to all of those and more. People can also use their cell phone's data plan and tether their phone's to their computers and gain net access that way.

I myself use 3G mobile broadband from Sprint and pay the same price new users pay ($59), except my plan's unlimited in data usage (now they have a 5GB cap, I got it 2 years ago). Even at that, 'unlimited' only means 50GB monthly and 500MB roaming. I'm just hoping the 4G market expands here in the coming year.

I remember in the Philippines, we had this plan thats like 20$/month. max speed is about 100kbps off peak, 30kbps on peak. no download limit, but with speed like that, a download takes a month for me to complete. (a wii game or something)

here in canada, I think we had this promo where we pay 30$ for the first year, then 60$ in the next year. but its about 6mbps, so its a nice upgrade. and i dont think its download limited too.

Are you in a big city? In my small city here its hard to even get 3G signal, and AT&T sucks here. haha. How fast is your 3G speed?

My cable internet here cost around $55 for a 1 MB/s down 500Kb/s up connection. I think it was a 50GB cap.

Unfortunately for me I'm in a very rural town. The speed I haven't checked in a while but it's pretty decent. Not as fast as cable internet, but definitely better than dial-up. It works much faster after 1AM and incredibly fast around 4-7AM, but then again not many people are using the towers at that time. I also have my brother's PS3 connected to it (via router), so he slows it down when he's using it.

I found out though that the roaming was working faster than the regular EVDO. Sprint uses Verizon towers for its roaming connection, so I have no idea if Verizon would work faster here. I just went with Sprint because years ago they were the only ones that covered my area.
