I am looking very forward to this. I see as of now that the amount of repos are scarce, even though I am excited for the future.
Yes, me too. Well, the main downside for many of us may be the amount of work that is needed to keep everything up-to-date. Things would be easier if we could use RawGit.

I have created my own repository. URL is
Code:
http://3ds.yodadacoda.info/
.

For the packages that see releases on Github, I have a script that will automatically download the new releases so that I can then manually add them to the repository (as I can never guarantee what format a release will be in).

I'm happy to take requests for packages to be added. Feel free to check it out.

Could you maybe share your script (PHP?) ? :)

Also, no one has ever confirmed that he/she was able to install anything successfully, so could you please try to install anything using installMii? :)

Two scripts; one in Python, one in shell script. Happy to release in the near future, but not just yet. I don't know PHP, but would welcome a frontend through which devs (or other authorised persons) could upload updated packages.

I installed a couple things from my repo that weren't on my 3DS to begin with, but I didn't think to verify that they installed. Will do so sometime in the near future for you (I'm in the middle of OOT game and really don't want to put it down just yet).

I fully understand, enjoy the awesome game then.

Hey, happy to see you again :) Yes I decided to not categorize the repos just yet because we barely have any ^^ And those we have basically contain all different kinds homebrew.

If anybody knows some repos that have yet to be added, please tell us about it :)

I've been back for awhile. You haven't seen me because I may or may not have forgotten about this thread ;) Thanks for keeping it in tip top shape though! I'll be checking every now and then but I'm still counting on you!

Tested and confirmed working.

Unfortunately xml-based apps (e.g. loading Decrypt9 through BrahmaLoader) aren't compatible as the xml file needs to be in the 3ds folder directly (not within a subfolder) and InstallMii doesn't support downloading to anything other than /3ds/<app-name>/*

You mean the xml descriptor files? Those work in sub-directories last I checked.

Try installing and running uncart from my repo. Then move the uncart.xml from the /3ds/uncart/ folder to the /3ds/ folder. If there's something I'm doing wrong, please let me know.l

Really *working* Do they appear on the homebrew launcher after downloading? Because on my n3DS, they don't.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
