Installing XP over Vista

Hi just need some help with my new computer. Its got vista home premium installed and im not reli liking it so i was wondering if anyone knew how i could install XP over it iv tried intalling it by using my xp cd its say "your version of windows is new than this 1" thanks in advance

If your XP CD is bootable, you can put the disk into your disk drive and restart your com.

Enter the BIOS and select "boot from CD" (I can't really remember where that option is, but it isn't difficult to find). After that, put the disk into your disk drive and restart your com. This time, instead of booting to the Vista Operating System, it should boot from your XP CD. Select "Format disk drive" and install your XP O.S. there

Note that by selecting "Format disk drive", you are wiping it clean. So back up all essential data before doing that.

yeah would just make a new 5gb xp partion, would be easier

its a waste to use xp on a new computer, 32bit xp performance (64 xp is crap) is raped by 64bit vista
