Hacking Installing DOL the same as WAD?

Hi,

is it the same method for installing a DOL file as a WAD file? i.e using WAD Manager etc?

no dol files go on sd card like this "apps\appname\boot.dol" then run HB Channel and select your app

no. You run a dol through the homebrew channel.

A dol is what is packed into a wad (wad is the channel, dol is the application/program itself)


Stick the dol file in a folder, name it whatever program it is, rename the dol to "boot.dol" the stick the folder into the apps folder on your SD card.

however you can install dol in preloader

when you hold reset it takes you to preloader, boot up the load/install file and choose what dol you want to install from the root of your sd card.

but you can only install 1 dol and load it only through preloader.
