it wouldn't hurt anything.

If everything you normally do is working just fine, don't worry about it.

If you do run into problems, you may want to downgrade, reinstall Cios rev9, then use waninkoko's updater.

but like i said, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

It says current IOS36 has the faksigning bug fixed because you need a IOS36 with the fakesigning bug. The cIOS36rev9 isn't IOS36, its a copy of it under IOS249. So get cIOSCorp and install the IOS36 from that.

cIOSCorp is for 3.2 only, any other suggestions? I am getting the same error on 4.0. I updated clean but then managed to install cIOSrev9 afterwards.

I'm also having the same error.
Do you think installing IOS36-64-v1042.wad would fix it? I cant find much info on this problem.

Order i did:

cIOS rev9
downgrade to 3.2
Waninkoko to 4.0
install IOS60 patcher

all worked. Then i go to install preloader and hit this fakesign bug error. Ideas??

cioscorp is *not* for 3.2 only.

I'm running it on 4.0 currently, no issues. cIOScorp was *never* for 3.2 only. It's just some patched IOS files. IOS haven't, aren't, and never will be dependent on firmware/sysmenu versions. Same for cIOS.

Now, installing CIOSCORP should fix you up right away.

btw, cios36 is *ios249 patched with trucha and possibly dip module, installed AS ios36*

It doesn't install under the 249 slot. It actually installs *AS* ios36.

Cheers

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
