I haven't used my 3DS with CFW in probably at least 2 years, but I busted it out looking for something to break up my commutes with.
Lately I've been watching a bunch of custom ROM playthroughs on YouTube, and wanted to try one of them out (without having to play it on my phone). I tried doing a little research before posting, and attempted it a couple times, but I can't figure it out. I'm not sure if I'm using outdated guides or tools or what (again, so far out of the loop). I tried injecting with both Ultimate GBA VC Injector and New Super Ultimate Injector, only getting one to even install on the 3DS, and then that ended up only playing the un-patched, base game.
Is there another method to doing this that I'm missing? The custom game I downloaded was a UPS file, not IPS so those two apps did not seem to patch correctly. Should I pre patch it using a different tool and try it then? I tried that also and the App doesn't recognize the rom. So I'm sort of at a loss currently.
Also forgive me if I posted this in the wrong spot or shouldn't have posted it at all (I know ROM discussion gets a little gray-area ish).
