ROM Hack Question Increasing the text limit in Golf Story.

I would like to take on the translation of the game Golf Story. It is a game on Unity engine. I have a problem with the translation because the game has a character limit. The translation must have the same number of characters as the English version. Is there any way to increase character limit?

There is very high chance somewhere string size is stored.
I don't think they will be stupid enough to include string sizes in game code.
Hopefully text is not stored in global-metadata...
