Yeah, i think i heard the demonstrator say "a fraction of a pixel"....

I think its impossible because the smallest possible is 1pixel right? But i saw the slider on the demo show between 15px - 0.2px...

Less than 1pixel??

Anyways, we'll find out soon..

This looks really fun. Being an artist myself, I love doodling stuff like this. This would help me practice pixel art too, although I'm in traditional art.

Edit: Wow! It has layering too. This will be my mini portable photoshop! I can't wait for this! I'll definitely buy this.

Actually no, haven't heard anything about it for a while but I'd be interested to know too. The last information I can find is from February.

What I am wondering is should you choose to draw with fraction of a pixel, how the hell would it display properly? Or would it actually be distorted?Run that by me again, where did this "fraction of a pixel" idea come from? I have never known a drawing program attempt to do that, because no screen would actually be capable of displaying it. It makes no sense.

of course, if one was to, say, display a 100*100 image at double scale, a fraction of a pixel is a possibility to show on screen, just not in the original resolution..i know it isnt technically still a single pixel, but it can be broken down into smaller elements at this point..

I don't know when it was last updated, but the developer's site Flat Black Films is littered with disgruntled remarks about not being able to get a publisher so maybe they're still stuck at that phase.

Which ruddy well sucks cause they're absolutely right, publishers are thick. Even the ConceptArt forumgoers were interested in this little piece of kit. If Colors can sell DS's to an art community even with the amount of faffing around homebrew takes to get running then Inchworm, being a properly made plug-it-in-and-off-it-goes title would've sold no problem. Gah it makes me so mad!

Well, they did mention the DSi in that page, perhaps it will be released as DSi ware after all. Which would suck since I'm not planning to get one of those any time soon (unless they make a new one that has less cameras and more GBA slot. Do we really need 2 cameras with the same spec, Nintendo?)

Yeah, publishers are thick as shit not picking this up. Maybe they should add a Pong minigame so that it passes as a "game".

That just doesn't make sense. A paint program has gotta be easier to market than say a synthesizer i.e. Korg DS.

I'm surprised even Nintendo have not picked this up themself.

Or something like one of those 'Imagine' games

Seriously, I was really looking forward to Inchworm. Hopefully it'll be released as DSiWare.
