Hi

I hope some very good programmer will read this thread and wil do this. I urgently need a homebrew program for the DS in which you can:
- Load an MP3 what is on the flashcard/memorycard
- Adjust the pitch with max. 10%
- Pitch bend function
That's basically what I need most. I have a gig in August and want to mix professionally with 3 decks. Scratch function is not a must, but would be cool, although I think it won't work pretty well

So if you are interested in programming this for me, PM me for more information and other things.

Regards,

Hmmm... playing mp3's via Moonshell works fine?! But maybe changing the mp3's pitch won't work perfectly? If not please say

No one will take up this project for you. Learn how to program yourself.

A remote tool using a DS to control your PC which is handling the audio is something you should think about.

DSMidiWifi does this.
I don't want this, because I'm already using my PC for my timecode vinyl setup (I'm not going to explain it

). My soundcard only has 2 outputs and I don't want to use my internal soundcard via Asio4All since it causes lag for my timecode.
@ outphase: I'd really like to make it myself, but can I really learn the DS' language (C, right?) before August?? I don't think so.

That relies on how long the programmer is busy with programming, and the quality of the sound when the pitch is changed.

If you could read, I said I am using my PC already for my timecode vinyl setup.

and the DS isn't for acting as a PDA: why does DSOrganize exist?
@ stingfist:
in moonshell, MP3s play fine, but you have a point that they're lagging very fast.

Sorry to say it, but there is no incentive for any developer to take up this project. You are not guaranteeing any sort of payout and your list of requirements exceeds what the DS is capable of. I tried using pitch modulation in my Piano app and that idea was scrapped due to complexity. Also, DS homebrew is limited to 4MB, so there can't be too complex of code and data.

Good luck learning C/C++ if you want this project to come to fruition.

then get another PC.....

as for DSOrganize doesnt make DS a PDA....

and this is from DSOrganize page

"It is by no means comparible to a full-fledged organizer such as a palm, and it is not planned to become an operating system, video player, or anything similar."

DS is a gaming console, deal with it. get a PSP is you want an entertaiment console.
