I'm updating my Switch and I need to rant about it.

My Switch is on 3.0.0 because I haven't played it in ages. Now Mario Odyssey is about to come out, I want to buy stuff off the eShop, and I'm going to want the Breath of the Wild DLC sooner or later. I tend to hack anything I get, from the PSP, vita, S/NES Classic, Wii/U, 3DS, (do Dreamcast and Sega CD count?), but I think it's mostly in seeing the end result and getting to do something cool with a system you're not supposed to do (I think I've beaten SMB3 on every console imaginable).
So, while I think it would be cool to run homebrew on my Switch, I also think I'm missing out on what it has to offer.
No one cares and I needed to rant and I didn't want to shitpost the same thread all over the Switch thread, because I'm 100% aware of why I shouldn't, but I needed to write this to reassure myself that I'm cool with missing out; I'm cool with buying the stuff I want to play.

i would rather play great 1st party games than wait forever for the possibility of a couple crappy homebrew games and tools
