I recently got emuNAND on my main 3DS and I was wondering if I could transfer the save data from my SSB4 game card onto an installed game so I don't have to carry it around. SSB4 doesn't support official save data backups (as in the one built into the 3DS), and SVDT didn't work at all. I have SaveDataFiler, but when I tried importing the save, upon launching up the game, it tells me its corrupt and to either make new save data, or close the game. I'm really struggling to do this, so any help would be appreciated!

    Here's a Save Transfer guide I found:

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    You could also try JKSaveManager.

Using SaveDataFiler transfer the Savefile normally & then Delete the Secure Value from the Installed Version of the Game, it should work.

Just us jk savemanager. it's very easy to use and you'll get your save transferred in no time. You don't need to remove secure values or anything

Like @uribemaster said just use JK's save manager. Worked for me transferring my Smash 4 cartridge save to an installed cia version with no problems.

Thanks guys, it works! Is transferring the extra data necessary to? Or should I just leave it be?

Well it's not too necessary but it does have replay data and stuff so you might as well

I'd recommend to transfer your ext-data just be sure. It probably includes Spotpass and movie data stuff.

I'm glad you found a solution & while its Pointless now, I'll leave it for future reference.

To delete a secure value in SDF you find the game's ID Number (00EDF for Sm4sh) & press R+X.
