ROM Hack I'm making a FFIV translation patch...

i tried patching the rom and the patched version was only 51MB as apposed to 128MB can someone plz tell me what i did wrong

Make sure that you are using a clean unmodified ROM. If you run it through a program such as the M3 transfer program or the EZIV client, it will not patch properly. As for making an ips, I'm afraid I can't do that. Most ips patchers don't support files over 32MB and even if I did manage to find one it the translation would require four seperate ips patches. It's far too much of a headache when xdelta works just as well.

too bad about the ips but also the rom is a cleaan rom coz i got ezv so i dont have to patch roms

You guys should have a place of honor among translators. If you people keep up your No-Lifeing (See: Unicyclopedia: Runescape: No-Lifeing) you could have the entire game, story and all, translated within a week.

But, alas, people have lives during the holidays.

(I've gotten in serious trouble before because some people can't understand sarcasm, so I'm telling you now that this is a sarcastic message)

By system messages, do you mean Main Menu Text or all the game phrases? If you mean that the game phrases are almost done, don't even bother with a beta. Just release the final patch a few days later. And I gotta say, you guys work EXTREMELY FAST!!!!!
