I know already i did order one iEdge of you. Anyway its not smart to have booth iEdge items in stock. You will only get free shipping if you choose freeshipping iedge. If you klick on the normal iEdge you still need to pay shipping.
Beside that i think the freeshipping Edge was added later, because i did click on freeshipping and still got the regular.
Now its almost fine but stil booth types of iedge on your site.
If someone doesent pay attention he might get screwed and pays the shipping in beleave he dont have to or it get substracted later.

Has anyone got it working already?
I have two cards and both don't boot up after using bootstrap.
I see the icon (Sudoku) but when i choose this one it stays white.

I have just received mines and may I add, another fantatic desgined card by the EDGE team and build quality is equal to the EDGE, fantastic.

Now reading up on installation of files etc

Anyone got up and running?

OS loaded absolutely fine, no bootstrapping issues whatsoever. I can only assume those with issues are user-related.

So long as you follow the guide from the official edge site then there shouldn't be any problems.

Fantastic product, it's all the goodness of the Edge on a DSi !

A tip - when waiting for the cart to configure with the bootstrapper (when the card light flashes red), don't rush it, go and make a cup of tea or something and be patient.

Hope everyone else is loving their cart

I considered the Edge last time I bought a flash cart. I read and read and read and read... Other than the random quality (build) issues, the AK2i had much better end user feedback. I ordered four of them, two were bad (spring not working, case falling apart). I sent them back to DX and got new ones in about 1.5 weeks. No problems since.

Now I need another card and found this just came out. I'm in the EDGE forum, so I doubt I'll hear much against these cards, but I'll ask anyways. How does this compare to the AK2i (quality issues nonwithstanding)? The AK2i is a fraction of the cost of the iEDGE. I'm also really impressed with the support. I'm pretty sure it was the first to support Zelda: Spirit Tracks without a patched ROM.

At the moment apparently nothing beats Acekard in support since the people who take care of the unofficial firmware are so fast. But all carts will eventually support the new games, some faster, some slower so I'd rather go with a cart that has a better build quality, but if you are really impatient and NEED to play all the new games the next day then I guess Acekard is your best choice.

Either way, how is Acekard only a fraction of the cost of the iEDGE? Sure, if you order Acekard from a Chinese shop you can get it for about 12-13 dollars, which is only half of the iEDGE, but hardly a "fraction". If you get it from an USA shop, then it's about the same price as the iEDGE. I haven't seen iEDGE in an USA shop yet, though, so it may be more expensive there.

I was going off the link in the first post. Price of cart plus shipping is $29.88. I can get the AK2i for $13 shipped. That is less than half, or a fraction. To get technical, even $1 cheaper could be a "fraction of".

If there is a place to get the iEDGE cheaper, I just haven't seen it (haven't searched). I just went off the site in the first post and other GBATemp user comments of $20 + 8 shipping.

I could get two AK2i cards for that price and still have enough for a candybar and soda.

Not sure what is the cheapest place, but sorry, I didn't calculate the shipping price.
You could also wait until iEDGE is available in more shops and then see what's the best option.
Of course, iEDGE and Acekard are also not your only choices.

Anyway, I'm standing by what I said: I'd rather pay more and have a better built cart.

I've just discovered the flashing process is the same as the iPlayer except for small things:
1. The blank card instructs you to go to the website first.
2. There is an LED light to show that it's flashing the iEDGE.

Very interesting

So all my games worked except for Zelda spirit track, which didnt take my .sav file from my previous home brew card( m3 simply). I tried renaming the .sav file and didnt work. What is wrong!?

Well at DX the iEdge costs 14.75 $ with free shipping. Some other GBATempmember called zuozouchina or so sells em for 12$ plus shipping costs.
From the reviews ive readed the iEdge has the same buildquality like Edge or cyclo DS.
So the Acekard2i lacks in that a lot compared to the other 3 cards.
Menu wise the Acekard is very nice when using AKAIO, to bad AKAIO is dead afaik so dont expect more updates and that leaves u with the offical Acekard Firmware.
I like booth cards Acekard2i and Edge/iedge but if someone asks me now i would suggest buy an iedge.
