Identifying sprites

Hey.
I found this sprite sheet in a Swedish gaming magazine and I have been wondering about what games these sprites come from. They did not post any names under the sprites, just states they are princesses.

I have marked the ones I try to find out with a red ring. I would be very happy if you could help me out with this. Sorry if the picture is a bit bad but it was hard to get a good picture of it. Hope it wont be any problems.

The green princess on the first line is from Chrono Trigger, as far as I remember

I don't know of the others, though

We can't see the bottom of the picture.

I could identify only the second circle (count them from left to right, top to bottom)
Other sprites looks familiar, but I don't know if they really are from the game I think.

What other sprite make me think:
1: a NES game. Maybe Final fantasy like
3: a "kid", hand drawn game style. Mario&Luigi/Paper mario could match that style, but I don't think it is that game.
4: I don't even understand the drawing. Looks like a black mage ghost-opus holding an egyptian ank?
8: Marl's kingdom style?

I don't think 3 has anything to do with Megaman, at all

Nor do I. I really suggest you write in to the editors and ask though! I'd like to know myself... Other than a few at the bottom, which just feel like JRPG style princesses, I don't know what any of these circled sprites are from or could be from.

There's a subtitle which may well give a hint. According to google, it translates to "Princess and the Frog"

That's a clue! if they are all releated to frog it can help find the game.

Do you have the full page scanned/pictured?
Seeing the corresponding frogs (I support there's frog/princess links) could also help find the game.

8 could be Marl's kingdom then? that game is frog-related: the hero is afraid of frogs. nop

My Guess for number 12 is that it is from a GBA game >_< I know I've seen it before

That's most definitely not Marle/Nadia. It is queen Leene, who has close ties with Frog, inviting him to be one of the knights in Guardia castle. Marle was always in a blue dress, never a green one.

Just needed to clarify that. -.-;

on the oppistie side of the poster theres pics of the frog that go with the prinnces i think. so if we had the whole poster that would help.

First one I didn't know the game where it came from but it is definitely Peach. Look at the hair.
