i just got my dsi todday and i want to get a flashcard for it i was looking at getting the m3i sence the flash cards are in ds mode can the firmware be updated into dsi mode when its cracked or will we have to buy a whole new card???

We're not psychics. How can we possible know? The DSi hasn't been cracked yet. If it theoretically can be done through firmware, M3 might just decide to create a brand new card to make more money instead of a free firmware upgrade. We can't be sure until it happens, simple as that.

Mainly since a firmware upgrade would be pointless if the flashcard couldn't boot in the first place. The bootloader is preflashed on so they would release a new flashcard because it can't possibly flash itself. facts first.

AceKard 2i and SuperCard DSone i are the only two cards for DSi atm that have reflashable bootloaders
