Japan is getting it
Is there anyway to redirect my 3DS to Japan's eshop so I can download it? I seem to think I remember people doing similar things with either the Wii or DSi using their router or something..

I don't know what the purpose would be because all shows are in Japanese and boring topics.
I mean: animals, sports, sculptures, and magic tricks. That's boring.
But maybe you could try to change your region to Japan.

That won't work for an US 3DS, you can only switch between regions that are inside your Region Lock, e.g Europe, USA etc.

Well, I never heard of it, but it would be fantastic if that was possible on 3DS

I'm sure the programming won't always be one of those four things. Personally I think watching some Japanese sports could be interesting for awhile, and if the magic tricks are any good it won't matter that they speak Japanese.

Why not wait for the US/UK versions? The US is getting Netflix 3D, which sounds a hell of a lot better then "animals, magic tricks, sculptures...".

I don't know about the UK.

You would still needa Japanese IP adress to access the stuff...

Wait, so could I use a Japanese proxy server?

We don't even have a release date for netflix yet, and its not going to be in 3d

IF you would somehow aquire the japanese 3D TV app on your 3DS (which is not possible right now) and used a japanese proxy, then yes... It would most likely work

On a related topic, I'm moving to Europe next month, and I was wondering if there is a way to get Netflix over there.
I've been a loyal subscriber for nearly 4 years now, and I don't think I can live without it...
I heard there are sites out there or applications that make your IP address look like it's in the States, when you really are not.
How do you think I could do this ?

Hopefully the 3ds can be hacked soon, so we can bypass all of this region lock nonsense.

Sorry but I think you are wrong...

I have an US 3DS and I am living in Europe. There are no problems visiting the US online shop with my European IP...

Just use Keyhole TV. The video quality is crap but you're actually watching live Japanese TV, not whatever Nintendo decides is appropriate to show on the 3DS. Quick warning though, Japanese TV is no less retarded than American TV.

the estores really have nothing to do with it
same on my ps3, I can create a uk or jp account while in the us and access exclusive stuff on their stores however if I try to use the bbc player app I get an error about the location

It won't work. Your console ID is american and to be honnest I think that the estore reads this and gives you access based on the console ID.
