I think my sister might have just broken my Wii.

I just got SSBB, in the mail today. I ran home and started playing. Well I decided to use a gamecube controller and my fucking stupid little sister tripped over the cord sending the whole thing down with a crash.

All was fine, until thing whole thing powered down on me after about 1/2 an hour. No lights or anything. I had to unplug and replugin the cable. When I went to see what was wrong, it was pretty warm. I think the fan might not be working.

When you turn on your Wii, can you feel/see the fan in the back where you plug it into the power and AV cables?

I can feel the fan.

Like, can you see it spinning or something?

I'm just wondering if the black thing behind the air vent in the back is a fan.

If it is... I'm screwed.

If it's not, I'm over reacting.

I think we may need pics of your sister to do a full diagnoses of your Wii.

She's only 12.

At least your sister didn't get hurt tripping over the wires. So that's good news.

Good news, or unfortunate outcome.. YOU DECIDE!

Thats what you get for playing SSBB.

Your sister is a hero to us all, and I am proud to stand beside her in the fight against a mediocre fighting game based soley on gimmick.

Excuse me sir. Do you have mental problems or are you just miss informed?

I am quite well informed thank you.

I just grew up with GREAT fighting games. Street Fighter, The early tekkens, Virtua Fighter. (Note the lack of picachus.)

And I find it funny you call me "Miss Informed" - I am a man. And It would be Mr Informed and that is exactly what I am.

I don't want to get off topic, but SSBB is a different style of fighting game. Most are usually the same, with strong/weak attacks, combos, special attacks, and differ only on things like jumps, speed/rhythm, desperation moves, cancels, etc. But SSBB retains all the elements that make fighting games special, which is timing, strategy, contrasting characters, move balance, I could go on. Sure you may not have the contrived convoluted movelists or the hyped up japanese style, but if thats what you play fighting games for, then you're pretty shallow imo.

Hahaha, pwned.

But I'm gonna have to disagree with you. While all the fighters you mentioned are good games, there's no way I can say Brawl is a bad one.
