Hi at the beginning I bought a usb c male to female adapter with an angle (link below) once I received it I plugged it to my diy mini switch dock (so it’s Nintendo original) and with ugreen extension cable than to switch it worked. Than I try the other adapter that came and it it worked. (Battery at 60 and 70 running renix 7.00 or 8.00 don’t remember)

after I disconnect it an error message of renix the that says press power button for 12 second to restart. Once I press the power button screen turns into another text screen that I never seen before but I saw something than. ............... HOS it happened fast than the screen went of and since than I tried every online solution:
1 press power button 20s than again

2 keep charging with charger only for 1 h. I did 4 h nothing no power indicator

3 replaced charger I have Anker Nintendo official power bank when I plug into switch the bank indicator light and when I press switch power button for 20 second it disconnect from the bank and when pressing switch power button again it begin charging so there’s a response

4 I returned my dock to its original case when I blue the switch the light on the dock blinks green a moment than turn off . I have a device for HDMI that show there’s signal coming so I think it’s not dead

5 the only thing not original was the adapters and the extension

I don’t know what to do now what type of bricking is this? Is it reversible ? If I send it to fix will it be hackable again. Anything will help

Is your switch in RCM mode? I've had my switch stuck with a seeming inability to turn on/ off and stuck on a black screen. In the end, when I plugged the switch into my computer it came up in RCM mode. To resolve it I used TegraRCMSmash over at switchtools.sshnuke.net to manually send a payload.

I just check doesn’t detect anything on the computer tegra rcm and I also tried entering recovery mode (both+- and power button still black screen)

Sounds like you may have cooked your battery both those cables are 3A, switch is very specific about charging and using anything other than 100% official ninty is your own risk something about a proprietary 1A usb c port or something, if you are confident enough watch a video on disconnecting and reconnecting/replacing the battery and maybe give that a shot as a last resort. First I would prep a fresh sd and reinstall all your pc programs/drivers to make sure they are up to date, restart the pc (this step is important in the case of the drivers and such or it wont detect the switch in rcm causing mild heart attacks your first time)I think it also has to be a usb3.0 port on the pc to see the switch.
Lastly if you had themes sometimes it can cause issues bit its usually a bootloop delete the /titles/0100000000001000 and/or /titles/0100000000000811 folders from the cfw folder on your sdcard if this works launch the theme installer and select uninstall theme.
Addendum; I am almost 100 % positive if you send it in for a warranty you wouldn't see it for awhile and they will send you back an ipatched unit for sure unless the shortage is once again solved.
And it might be a stupid question but are you using the jig for rcm ? I know autorcm has me spoiled.

1- I removed the sd card and tried booting it didn’t work
2- i tried installing tegra rcm in another pc with usb 3 still didn’t detect it
3- I don’t have any themes or ever installed any and never used auto rcm am using rcm loader

4- is this a software or hardware( if it’s hardware is the usb c or motherboard or battery) ??
5- is keeping the switch without charging it the same as dis/reco the battery??

Yes I have one came with my diy small dock
Do like this, I think your battery might be fried.

Follow this guide. Be EXTREMELY careful when you take out the SD Card reader from the switch. that connector is the worst thing In the world more or less.
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+Switch+Battery+Replacement/112995

When the battery is disconnected, try either plugging in the power adapter and see if it boots.
If you got AutoRCM. You might need to use your computer with TegraGUI instead. All you need to see if your Switch wakes up.

If it does, your Battery is just dead and super easy to replace.
(Heck, sometimes you just need to take it out and reseat it and it magically works again)

keeping the switch without charging for 2 weeks it the same as dis/reco the battery?? Or is it better to unplug the battery (I can do it) to be certain were the problem is?? And can switch be turned on with battery disconnected?

This may not be your issue, but it's something to consider before tearing your Switch apart to diagnose a bad battery:

If your Switch has autoRCM, and you do not send a payload, it will just show a black screen when it boots. This black screen is indistinguishable from the Switch just being off. The system will not charge while on this black screen. When you plug in the system to charge it, the system tries to power on. However, since you're not injecting a payload, it just stays on the black screen. Since it can't charge on the black screen, the system does not get charged. The way to fix this is to plug in the system, hold down the power button for a good 10 seconds to turn it off (since it's on the black screen), and wait five minutes for it to charge. Then unplug it from the charger and turn the system on while injecting the payload. Once you have the system actually booted, you can put it back on the charger to let the battery charge the rest of the way.
If it doesn't work the first time, don't panic. You probably just turned the system ON whenever you held the power button instead of OFF. It's impossible to tell whether the system is on or off without injecting the payload. If it won't boot with the payload injected, it means the battery is still dead and to try charging it again. And if you're using something like an SX Pro dongle, make sure the dongle is charged as well (takes less than five seconds to charge it).

I think Ive seen somewhere that trying to boot without a sd will do nothing but that might just be for auto rcm bois. You would want to get another new sd or one you know works formatted to fat32 and pretend you are starting over with that sd all new files from the newest releases of your preferred fw
Disconnecting the battery is mostly the same as letting it die but the goal here is to see if you can power up on a power supply while the battery is unplugged, back in the day rcm had some issues with power states and dudes playing around on linux (as well as some ofw guys) had battery desync issues.
With a lot of modern tech if the battery isnt taking charge the mobo reads it as low voltage and wont boot so things dont get messed up. Im still with my gut feeling on this that its that battery, I just dont wanna say hey man go open your console its no biggie. Like I said that would be my last resort.I also cant say for certain that it will boot or take power while the battery is disconnected but aside from the sd reader being tricky its pretty straightforward to just do it as a troubleshooting step

I just read on reddit about a guy same as my case and he left it charging for 24 h nothing happened and on the 3 day it just booted so am thinking about doing that than new sd card than letting it discharge completely than last resort I hope I don’t have to do it

There is no reason to discarge the battery. In fact that might be a bad idea.

Why are you not following the instructions many members have given you by now?
Read the advice carefully and just try the non-destructive ones first and later go over to disconnecting of the battery like linuxares told you.

Am doing what they told me right now am charging it to see if it wakes up if that didn’t work I’ll try new sd card if that didn’t work I think I might open and disconnect the battery (I’ll have to buy battery and thermal paste almost 60$)
I did all the previous advices everyone gave and truly thankful that you guys are helping

My guess the problem is ReiNX, your unit is stuck and not in RCM mode, so unless you unplug the battery and reconnect it it would be stuck with a black screen. Happened to me once. You need some precision screwdriver to take apart the unit and reseat the battery.

But am gonna have to repaste the thermal becuase of air bubbles might cause damage right? Should I do it now or wait for the new battery and thermal paste?

Just took it apart disconnected the battery and reconnected it nothing , I noticed when I put my era( not touching ) next to the board there’s a hissing sound when I plug the adapter to the switch and when I press the power button for 12s it disappears is that mean the board is not bricked
Am getting frustrated by all of this I don’t know what to do, replace motherboard ?(still hackable ?) replace battery?

Does anyone know of a good battery on eBay that ship worldwide as I fixit won’t ship battery outside us?
If I buy a motherboard from a hackable switch and replace it with mine will it work?

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
