I ripped out my power connector on motherboard

I was doing the usb-c mod and during reassembly I ripped out the whole input connector that brings power to the mainboard.

I've bridged the connector with two wires, the device indicates charging, but doesn't switch on.

I think I should also bridge the are in blue, marked in the image below. The question is twofold:
  • Should I also bridge the part marked in blue?
  • Is there an easier spot to create the bridge? The pads in the blue area are tiny
