Okay, guys, as of last night I'm 99% certain that this is the build I'm going to get! Feedback would be great though, so tell me what you think!

My comments:
- I highly recommend this GPU instead.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814125320
- This motherboard is better for just $20 extra .. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131641
- This RAM should be better for $5 extra.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820226030
- i7 930? not going with i7 950? Not that it's a bad choice. I'm just wondering..

- HDD is more expensive that usual. It was $59 last night. I'd wait a few days I'm sure it would drop back

Everything else looks good as far as I can see

Now, I can afford most of this but I don't really want to spend more than $1,500 for my computer unless it's for a very, VERY good reason. I can always overclock the 460 to comparable 470 speeds as well, but I'm not a huge gamer so getting the best-ever graphics card isn't an issue for me. I went with the 930 because I wanted to offset the somewhat increased cost of getting the MSI Hawk GTX 460 rather than the cyclone. The F3 was on sale but it costs the same as the WD Caviar Black 750GB, which was what I was going to get. Still a great price nonetheless, I wish I was able to get it for $54 though. I'd rather not get a motherboard over $200, and at Fry's the Sabertooth is $20 less. The 930 is also $27 less at Frys than Newegg, so yeah. Still considering the 950 but I don't know how much better my benchmarks will be, TBH.

Maybe wait on the hard drive....i just saw it for 59$ the other day. Great find on the Cooler Master 212+! its back down to 30$

the 460 looks like a very capable card, and I'm positive the HAWK is the best MFG. I'd certainly aim for them after my experience on XFX. looked at the performance very briefly this morning at anandtech, and it seems you are taking a step down from the 5850, but not by much. plus I find Nvidia to have wider market share meaning more access to pre development on games leading to better drivers to better performance. PhysX may be a marketing joke and ploy, but I still think its pretty cool.

I would say, go with the memory you picked. Cas latency has like 1% difference on your performance. I was also going to suggest low voltage dimms, but seeing they don't have any in your category, the 1.6V is fine. 8 Cas is perfectly fine.

PSU, great. I can't particulary comment on the 1366 route, as I went 1156. However I believe the sabertooth is a very renowned board from asus.

LOL! I see you picked up the arctic cooling MX-2 paste. ( I've heard and briefly researched it and found its a better compound then AS5, and I have been thinking of changing my AS5 for MX-2) Cool pick there.

So aside from the proc and the mobo (I can't make a very qualified judgement) and waiting on the HD, I would say! go for it.
Oh, and on the hard drive. I've known it to be cheap w/ free shipping from ewiz.com and amazon.com. I purchase mine from amazon.com within the last 2 months at...65$ i think? just saw it for 59$ the other day. depends on what 15$ is worth to you. just fyi.
happy building! i hope the build works well for you. i have a sinking suspicion its going to, you've done your research.

Yeah, I love everything but now I"m becoming undecided as to whether or not it'll be worth it to upgrade to the 950. Apparently it has much better overclocking potential but the 930 is only $258 at Fry's. I hear the Sabertooth is finicky with running an SLI/Crossfire setup as it's a tight fit (Plus I hear it blocks off access to the PCI slot, which I'll need for my wireless adapter), so I guess I'll just go for the P6X58D-E motherboard.

Okay, not to bump this, but I think I'm almost done finalizing my build and a few more suggestions couldn't hurt. Now I'm looking at the nVidia GTX 460 and it looks pretty well-priced! Should I get that instead of the 5850 or is it some sort of trap?

Also, I just don't see if it's worth it (or even necessary) to go to a 1366 build. They apparently run hotter and use more energy than 1156s and performance-wise, some of the 1366 CPUs have almost the same benchmarks as some of the 1156 ones.
I would recommend the gtx 460 for a few reasons. It is cheaper, they have similar performance, and it's made by nVidia so you get all of the cool features like physx.

PhysX can run on the CPU, too. Too bad NVidia can't be arsed to rewrite it so it runs properly on the CPU. They're just too fucking lazy and want people to buy their PhysX capable graphics cards for one stupid feature.

PhysX isn't that HUGE of a deal, but its a nice tack on. What's AMD got? Their 5800 series was innovative and priced well for the 4 month window before Nvidia caught up. They totally blocked out Nvidia for a good 4-6 month time period, for me at least.

Seasonic....wow! thats even better than corsair some say. awesome memory once again.
On the asus! if you plan to OC WITH Power saving on, please test it and check for a whine. its a known problem. also, don't update the bios prematurely. you won't be able to come back down.
other than those two gripes...my p7p55d deluxe is an excellent very stable board, sky is the limit on OC. but the i7 you got has hyper threading on it! which is definite bonus 6 virtual cores....i think. i5's don't have that.
hell! you even get USB3.0. thing to note however, that if you plan to SLI/Xfire in the future with that board! you will throw away your USB3.0. its just how current gen tacked on USB 3.0 works.
all in all 1300$ for a full very very capable build like yours is great. heck, I spent 700$ just refitting my current setup.

looking good!

I've only touched the BIOS on my laptop once, and that's the time I've ever done that to BIOS on any of the computers I've owned. Will keep that in mind!

Also, I'm getting just one video card! Didn't realize I put 2 in my wish list... whoops!

Strange that - I heard the opposite, that some SeaSonic PSUs have unstable 12V rails (either too low, or drooping during prolonged use). I guess you can't always trust what "some say", although when I looked up the reviews on the PSU listed, I didn't see any reports of that so it is probably a good one.

Haha, I had a problem with the transaction, actually, but it was with my card. I just got it sorted out and the payment went through! Yay!

I live like an hour away from Newegg's headquarters so I should get the stuff real soon.

just because you are an hour away doesnt mean you will get your stuff in one day

there are 3 different newegg warehouses in the US

NJ
CA
TN

they will most likely come from all different places
some parts from one warehouse and some from others

not only that but everything has to processed through the UPS system and usually can sit for a whole day
