Needless to say, I'm 'borrowing' Wi-Fi from my neighbor, but my downloads keep dropping, and it's infuriating. I need a download manager so I can resume the downloads, instead of hopelessly restarting them over, and over... I keep ending up with incomplete files. So are there any good FREE ones out there that aren't garbage? Google has failed me tonight. :/

If you use Firefox, Downthemall is a pretty awesome download manager available as an addon. Otherwise jDownloader is nice, but the last time I tried finding and installing it I just ended up with some crapware and not the program I wanted so I'm not sure what's up with that.

I used Flashget for a while, since I too had terrible download speeds. This was a pretty useful program which I mainly used for centralizing all downloads (chrome, firefox, opera, torrents, etc)

I'd recommend JDownloader for files from download sites (Mediafire, Zippyshare, MEGA, etc.; it's excellent for batch downloads) and Flashget for anything else, personally. Flashget even works as a very shitty torrent client.

EDIT: JDownloader might have a 'sponsored' installer, so read very carefully before clicking anything if you install it.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
