Hacking Question I messed up (CFW update)

i found a backup from when i was on 9.0 too with all of them rawnand boot1 and boot0

problem is i don't know if that would work because maybe fuses burnt or something? i don't know

Fuses? did you update via choidujournx?

yes what happened is i updated with choidujournx initially to 10.0.2 cuz i didn't wanna risk going to latest
and that worked perfectly fine

then i accidentally clicked on update when opening a game so now its on latest and wont open CFW

is there not a way i can completely get rid of CFW go back to stock then rehack everything
thats kinda what i plan to do once i get back into homebrew

Okay i have reformatted my SD Windows says its exFat
Coping my files back gonna try that
then put fresh atmosphere on it
and see if it boots
but first let switch format it in stock mode

I told you to reformat it as FAT32. When advice is given, it's recommended that you follow it.

make a new rawnand.bin, a new boot0 and boot1
DO NOT TOUCH THE CLEAN BACKUPS FILES YOU HAVE, KEEP THEM IN A SAFE FOLDER.
After you do that, restore rawnand.bin,boot0 and boot1 via hekate ( USING LAST BACKUPS YOU GONNA CREATE NOW.)

Follow Lucius’ advice! They won’t steer you wrong. It’s does sound like your issue is not having your SD formatted to Fat32.

Forced it to format to FAt32 and i got a nofat error when trying to load Hekate

It sounds like there's a problem with your SD card, or you're formatting it improperly.

When you receive the alert on your Switch that the SD cannot be used without updating your Switch, that means you are using exFAT and you do not have the exFAT support installed, FYI.

Are you using Hekate? Did you put the bootloader folder back onto the SD card?

i just redownloaded hekate from the sdsetup.com minimal install just to make sure my version on my pc wasn't putting me off

I would recommend using fusee-primary and the latest Atmosphere instead of Hekate.

1. Make a NAND backup with Hekate if you haven't already. Make sure you at least backup eMMC SYS and BOOT0/1. Store it somewhere safe.
2. Make sure the SD is FAT32.
3. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (those would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
4. Download the latest Atmosphere
5. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
6. Download these signature patches
7. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card. Overwrite anything it wants to.
8. Put the SD into your Switch
9. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary
