Hey! My 20 year old sister is sobbing because I'm about to mod my wii! She said if its really safe, she wants you guys to say its safe to softmod a wii.

Just be sure that you DON'T DELETE ANY IOS UNLESS SPECIFICLY ASKED!!!!!.

The safest way to softmod is to use ModMii.

And really the only way for something to go wrong is to have a power cut in the middle of modding. If you're really paranoid, use a UPS.
Or if you dont follow direct instructions, step by step.

Use Modmii.

It downloads everything you need to where you need it, generates a custom guide for you to follow, and overall pretty much everyone loves it!

As already stated, the only way for Modmii to mess something up is if the power cuts while installing something to the Wii. Even if you quit Modmii in the middle of a download, it verifies all files, so there's 0% chance of installing a bad file.
