Gaming I have problems connecting to the EA servers....

Hello,
As you can see in the title, (my friend who owns a ps4) has a problem connecting to the EA servers.
The game here is BF1, he just downloaded it today morning and he started BF1 he got an error which was:
"You have lost connection to the EA servers. Online features will not be available." There is also a site but i dont know the link.
Since he downloaded that, i didnt even play a single match, whats the problem here?
Advice is appreciated
EDIT: When he goes to that site, it says "Server couldnt be found".

BF1 beta (and fifa servers) were down for hours yesterday and when i could finally reconnect later on every test server had 100+ people in queue
