Homebrew I don't quite know what's wrong/what to do

I bought my modded 3DS secondhand and don't quite know how things work
I left it on until it died once, running a game
then booted it up and it always boots into sysnand
I have no idea how to get it back into emunand except holding select gives me that one dark screen.
Can this be fixed easily for someone hwo doesn't understand this stuff?

I do have the SD card. Weird though. I JUST turned it on after endlessly trying and it boosted normally into EmuNAND
Do you think a loose sd card is the answer?

possibly, make sure its also not in lock mode. also is it a o3ds or n3ds?

The screenshot you posted was Luma running from the CTRNAND (3DS Internal Storage). The SD Card was not properly inserted.

N3DS, however, just now while it was left on in emuNAND my custom theme just suddenly... disappeared...

yea, it may sound dumb, but blow into the sd card hole, it might have dust or something in it. also you may wanna move the emunand to the sysnad to avoid problems with booting

Unfortunatelty I don't know how to do anything via reading instructions and don't quite understand this all so I'm not really gonna tinker with it. thank you thought
