I think I just bricked my first Wii :(

I had a friends Wii (4.3U) that had almost no free memory (84 blocks) so before I modded it I tried to delete some of the bigger junk channels that he had sucking up memory. I tried killing the Internet channel but after waiting 10 minutes I restarted the Wii. Tried to go back into data mgmt/channels but nothing showed up and it hung.

I figured what the heck and tried a Format memory but it hung after about 15 min I rebooted.

I then used LetterBomb to install HBC and installed Priiloader and Bootmii (as boot2). I didn't take a NAND backup at this point :(

So I tried a title deleter and was able to delete some stuff but when I tried deleting the Internet Channel it kept hanging.

So I then tried to install 4.3(U) but didn't have the files on my SD and forgot to connect it to my Wifi. I believe at this point my Priiloader was removed.

So I tried to install the Internet Channel over the existing one thinking once I install it, it may fix whatever corruption and then let me delete it.

But it hung during the install. After 15 min I pulled the plug.

Now I get a black screen. With the SD card in I can get to the BootMii menu but it blackscreens trying to load HBC or the System Menu.

I took a backup of the NAND but don't know what good it is going to do now unless there is a way to fix whatever corruption is in the NAND and restore it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you can use nandBinCheck on the dump of the bricked nand and try to get an idea of what it wrong with it. and you can use ohneschwanzenegger to install single titles like ios and the system menu, or if need be, wipe everything out and install everything. either way, create yourself 5 backups of the nand.bin onto 5 different sd cards and put them in separate safe deposit boxes before you start doing anythings because it sounds like you are swimming in the deep end without your waterwings.

You can PM Deadly Foez. You've been around long enough that you are aware of his reputation and his ability to restore bricked Wiis with nand backup.

He should only contact Deady Foez if the only way he can restore his Wii is by NAND flashing.

Follow what giantpune said before doing something else with the Wii.

Thanks for the notes. I ran nandBinCheck and got this. I read up on using ohneschwanzenegger and am going to try and flash a clean nand.

Ok - I am greedy :)

I tried to extract the save game data and that was no problem but when restoring it I get a Unable to Set UID error. I believe it is because I don't have any Mii's but I tried extracting the Mii's from the saved NAND with no luck. I couldn't find a shared2\menu\FaceLib\RFL_DB.dat file or even a nand-extracteda\shared2\menu folder. Am I hosed?
