Wow. It looks awesome. Better then the Kindle.

I haven't bought anything lately. I'm planning on purchasing a BluRay player. Sadly, it's not a PS3. Don't have enough money.

Way the hell better than the kindle. I can use the kindle books by stripping the DRM. Plus, it doesn't have that ugly keyboard. Hell, I can root it and use the free at&t 3g as a internet connection on a laptop, etc.

I use my ps3s (I have two for some illogical reason. not sure why myself) maybe once every 6 months. Play warhawk for a few minutes, and remember the ps3 has no games. It collects dusts until I repeat this cycle.

Bow and arrow? Pics, lol.

I'm guessing the laptop is rather old? Nothing wrong with that, just asking.

Now what we need is an actual Hitchhiker's Guide...

Veho made a thread a while ago about a device that he cleverly called "The Hitchhiker's Guide". It was essentially a mobile Wikipedia, but even more expansive and open source. You'd just get updated MicroSD cards every few months or so with updated info.

Anyway, how much did this "nook" cost?

Oh. I have mobile wikipedia, it's my phone's browser. No point in some little device that does it, at least not for me.

$259 plus 60 bucks for damage protection. Plus a 6.00% sales tax.

I know, I read that thread

I use Wapedia too, seeing as I get a 500MB browsing allowance every month.

Wasn't it just called the Sony Reader?

It's better than the Sony Reader. It's similar, but universally accepted as being superior.

That is awesome. How hard is it to put books you have downloaded elsewhere like you did, on the nook?

But for now I think I will just stick with having Kindle on my Ipod touch, Since it does save around $200 dollars for a ebook reader, but still cool you got one.

Simply plug it into your computer and copy it over into the "My Documents" folder on the nook.

No eink = unreadable imo. But yeah, it owns. I'm quite happy with it.

I received a Sony Reader for Christmas, I am pretty happy about it too. I would have liked the nook, but I got this for Christmas (it was cheaper

You should have returned the Sony Reader

. I would have even taken the inferior (to the nook anyway) kindle over the Sony Reader.

But that's just me.

Actually I couldn't have gotten a kindle for the $200 that my parents paid for the Sony Reader at Wal-Mart. (I guess this is one of the first models of the Sony Reader.
