Hey guys, be very careful, apparently coming or there is already a new update for the version of the Wii U greater than 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 or 6.0.0 may not know, but what I do know is that now I just enter my Wii U and I've run into is trying to update my Wii U and of course as I have configured with the TubeHax to not be updated guess that's why I'm still on 5.5.1, look at the picture that Annex my Wii U, I just take right now where I show my current version of my Wii U it is the 5.5.1 and attempted Nintendo update, if anyone has more information please, I came to Nintendo and I do not see that they have published anyother than the 5.5.1 update, however, I heard that Nintendo first launched the updates and then a week later is that the public, what you say about it?

Please see the first post regarding this.

Prob NGC and XBOX (the actual one not the new XBONE) too.

Xbox doesn't even have a proper emulator on pc lol. PCSX2 would require a really good port and that's really pushing the envelope. Dreamcast seems quite feasible though since I do know that there was in fact a working dreamcast emulator for wii at one point.

Reactions: Subtle Demise
So... I just came back to read these forums after being away for quite a while. Was waiting for the iosu exploit that was promised by the end of January. I came back today, the end of January, and cannot find the download link or a tutorial anywhere. Was this a hoax?

Okay, so here's my little bit on IOSU:

I personally do not think that it will be released today. It'll be like the past month, it won't be released until it's ready. The main reason Hykem is obfuscating it so much is so that Nintendo can't easily patch this. This is a well-established fact. It's also known that @SonyUSA is at least helping out in some way or another, essentially a vessel for Hykem to get some information out indirectly. Right now, the two of them are the most reliable sources of information regarding not only the release of IOSU, but how to prepare for it and how to use it.

Yes, such access to the console will allow piracy, but here's the thing: Applications for loading your games still need to be developed. There's also not a reliable and easy-to-use SDK that people can obtain freely without having to pirate, unlike yesterday's leak. In reality, the absolute most we can get out of this immediately is emuNAND so we can have some form of brick protection. I know that people are excited for this, but in reality, there won't be much to offer straight out of the gate. As long as you're patient and stay on your firmware, things will eventually work out, but it all takes time.

This is the reason why I didn't jump on the hype train from the beginning. In addition, it prevents me from having to be angry if he doesn't release anything, because I know that my console will probably be the exact same for a while anyway while more apps are developed. Don't bite the hand that feeds you - Hykem and SonyUSA are doing this of their own will and wanting for the community. Nagging and begging them to release, or talking shit about them are the kinds of things that developers hate about GBAtemp and why people refuse to release anything.

Thank you. This is probably the most "sense" inducing post here.

I hope it comes with this sweet 'hello from iosu kernel' application

That means TubeHax is working, not that an update is downloading.

Well, i certainly don't mind waiting a bit longer for something if it's going to improve the outcome/result.
Yes, waiting is boring but posting BS and acting like a complete idiot won't make Hykem release it any sooner.

It's a good thing he's ignoring most of the shit posts on here, and he's informed us a couple of times of his progress.
We shouldn't even be complaining in the first place. We should be thankful various people are working their *** off to please a crowd whom aren't always respectful/grateful to(wards) them.

Well.. this wasn't supposed to be a TL;DR post so i'll end it here anyways =P

I hope Citra can be ported to the Wii U. I would love to play Pokemon X/Y/ORAS in high-res and we would finally get a metal gear solid game on a nintendo console(yes, yes, I know about twin snakes.)

Release "Dates" Hykem has missed:

- Christmas Day. (unrealistic.)
- Early January. (Delayed, but stated the exploit was finished by stating he would research into a boot time exploit and if that turned out to be nothing he would "release the exploit right away".)
- Before February. (With him being "sure of that" and then claiming he "never gave specific release dates", which I called out as BS.)

So now the release is March. Time to see if this exploit is real or fake. (These delays scream of a kid getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar then blaming his friend across the room.)

Every part of me wants to agree with you, but as a developer who has also given totally unrealistic dates I have too much sympathy for hykem.
