so

working on otp
working on 5.3.2
working on amiibo stuff now, which delays the iosu exploit, for reasons

Next week is he working on nuclear missile guidance exploits, then world peace exploits, then three weeks after he will work on exploiting his toaster, all of this is super important so iosu cannot be released. Sorry kids.

i guess nobody has read what i said initially. WHEN the OTP is documented (and reversing amiibo and NFC stuff is essential to that), and WHEN the exploit is obfuscated, and WHEN all the versions HE decides to port the ROP are ported, which is the ONLY thing that needs porting BECAUSE the IOSU exploit is UNIVERSAL, but NOT webkit addresses, you will have your release. to a normal person's standview, i know this is a little hard to grasp, but you guys want your keys locations right? you also want your version ported right? and surely you understand that webkit is mapped in RAM differently as the version increases or decreases. and since IOSU exploit needs a usermode entrypoint (in this case webkit) this is also necessary.

Ah jeez, I'm sure if dev's knew you were this disappointed they would halt what they were doing for you man. Don't rip the posters off your walls yet though. And don't toss your 2015 WiiU-Hack-Tour T-Shirt, you'd regret it.

He's doing it for fun. For challenge. Not for us. I'm quite surprised that he's willing to release it considering attitude some people have here.

Make perfect sense.

I hypothetically guess Hykem is gonna release the exploit 1 minutes before midnight Jan 31st. Someone check which timezone Hykem's area is

Just kidding. Patient guys.

This is just my guess, which i really hope im wrong, hykem is working on reverse engineering the Wii u, and kinda letting us know what its going on, my bets? someone, out of nowhere, totally unnamed, will be like:
Here is your 5.5.0 Exploit, Have Fun, [release the exploit here].
Its usually what does happen.

I think 5.5.2 came out. I was about to play Mario maker when it told me there was an update (I had tubehax on) so I was wondering does this patch the Kernel exploit or the iosu exploit?

Why would that scare the average user away?
The average user just want stuff to works and if that means that their console needs to phone home to get an update as fast as possible, it's only good for them.

When the IOSU exploit gets released and it becomes easy to use (letterbomb difficulty) most of the average users still won't use it.
They bought their console cause it's easy to use/plug and play and the Wii-U library has a lot/the most games to THEIR liking.
They don't care about hacking/pirating or homebrew.

We (the people following threads like this one) aren't the average users.
I mean by the fact that most people, would just plug in the console, try to use the web browser and get a message saying they're not allowed because of an update. Most people don't have a fast internet connection, so they'd take it badly since updates on a slow connection take a very long time. Nintendo would be giving them more reasons to complain.

My point is that the average user would like to plug it in and directly use it without having to be forced to wait for an system update.

This is for "new generation". Do u remember playstation 4 launchs day, u must download a 4 gb firmware update.

Huh? I don't really know what you mean... I don't really remember since I don't have a PS4 and I'm not following things going on in their scene.

I believe he's saying big patches/updates have become the norm.
Ah, yeah, but I was talking about the average user that occasionally pulls out the console to play with friends and such. I guess it doesn't matter though.
