The fact that the 3DS did this very thing with one of its firmware updates. Frankly i find it odd Nintendo hasn't already implemented such a thing into the Wii U.
They'd do that if they wanted to scare people away from the console. I don't think that's coming anytime soon.

I wouldn't count on the NX this year.
The company making ROM for NX stated that Nintendo was releasing a new machine this year. Several indie games are also in development for NX and one of them didn't want to wait for NX to release the PC version.

Why would that scare the average user away?
The average user just want stuff to works and if that means that their console needs to phone home to get an update as fast as possible, it's only good for them.

When the IOSU exploit gets released and it becomes easy to use (letterbomb difficulty) most of the average users still won't use it.
They bought their console cause it's easy to use/plug and play and the Wii-U library has a lot/the most games to THEIR liking.
They don't care about hacking/pirating or homebrew.

We (the people following threads like this one) aren't the average users.

the fun fact about wii u is that, albeit having very good games, it's a very limited list (about 30 of them are decent).
So the people that have a job shouldn't concern themselves very much about this IOSU exploit, because, obviously, the first thing people will try to do is deobfuscate it, analyze it and bring piracy with it. And, seriously, with 30 games or so on the list being good recomendations, you can pay all those in one year or so, depending on the salary you win.
Not only that, 5.3.2 and below already has piracy, and most games already work on loadiine.

How can we (brainless, non contributive users) help devs with their work ?
(Expecting someone to say "to shut up")

Well, you pretty much covered that yourself. But seriously, you could learn to code and develop homebrew for released exploits and that may give the exploit devs more motivation.
EDIT: Of course if you really are that brainless, you could always try to find a dev that needs help with non-code related stuff, like graphical assets, sound effects, etc.

I totally agree with you on this part. I personally bought the wii u for the first party games. I didn't expect 20+ games worth my money for this console (and I got what I expected lol)

I'm on the fence about this part.
The main part why I'm interested in the exploit is cause I wanna see what's possible with.
People can be very creative when the wii u can become their sandbox.

Some people will come with stuff that I never thought of.

I've got no experience in coding and I'll never will cause I can't manage to make the free time (and motivation) to properly learn it.
That doesn't mean I'm not interested in it.

The used game market along with auction site is great for Wii U gamers. The top titles all retain value well

Brazil no official support.
I'm not against piracy in "SOME CASES" like Brazil and other countrys where a Nintendo dont support and have HIGH PRICES. And yes, i have all WIIU exclusive games (original).
PS4 and XONE im against piracy, sorry this is my first time i say this on forum.
If i was hykem i dont want lost my time obfuscate something that will happen but i understand him and respect.

What you CAN'T DO in here:
1) Piracy talks. I don't care if you think that piracy is wrong or right nor does the 99% of the people watching this thread. If you want, there's a place just for you to rant all day long on that topic, but it's not here.
2) Memes, off-topic and 4chan talk. There's the EoF for that. You came up with a great joke? Nice! Just head over to the EoF and make us all bask in your amazing funniness.
Lol I guess I'm gna be in trouble too :P

Agreed. I mean does he think devs that want to enable piracy aren't as talented as non piracy supporting devs or something? Very odd.
Well, that's not what I meant....

Why would you even need to read shiz code? just let the compiler compile and you're good to go, Loadiine with IOSU on 5.5.0.
