Having read most of the posts, I think the wait is worthwhile. However, Wii U honestly, doesn't have a lot of games compare to the older game consoles and only a few are good. I have already bought a few games I really like. My Brand new Wii U has been sitting in my drawer for three years. If, once the IOSU is out and it doesn't require internet connection to access homebrews or games, it will be a plus. The only thing that I worry about and don't use the Wii U is because of the darn update because I would like to stay on the lowest firmware possible and Nintendo is so shitty that it makes you update your firmware before letting you play the game. If there is a way to bypass this without hassle, I don't really mind the wait even if it takes like half a year for the IOSU to be out.

I'm on 5.5.0 how can I update Mario maker without updating my system sorry a little of topic

Will the IOSU exploit support Loadiine?Or any backup loader?
Well, we(most of us, not those other nintendo spies and anti-piracy freaks) hope that it will come out soon after the exploit, but there has been speculation that HYkem is trying to delay this by a long time, so most likely...

Lol u posted two of the same thing. Anyway I finally understand why people are all like "Hykem is trying to prevent piracy and stuff." Thanks for the explanation! Did hykem explicitly state he was tryin to do that?

I don't understand why everyone wants loadiine ported... like just use the sdk's devmenu / system config tool title manager to install games downloaded from nus on a sig patched emunand.
HINT: system config tool has an installable image in the sdk that can be used with WUPinstaller (fixed for non Update titles version) on a sig patched emunand :P

For the rest, just keep waiting, it's not like your life is in hykem's hands, literally.

Yeah. Coming from 3DS section, when I first heard about IOSU and the possibility of EMUNAND, that's what I got hyped about. Since there is very little news regarding EMUNAND and too much drama about Loadliine, this doesn't really have that much of a hype for me now.

With something like EMUNAND, it's much safer and it has much more possibility for end-user. Why some/many end users want the Loadliine so bad and in the process pissing the developers so much, while ignoring something like EMUNAND is beyond me. It's just like with the story of the Golden egg laying Hen: taking immediate gain over long term healthy profit.

It's already been established/explained that an emunand solution akin to the one on the 3DS will not be immediately possible just because the IOSU was blown open. It would require the bootrom keys and/or a bootrom exploit, neither of which are currently available nor will they magically be made available by IOSU access.

As for why so many people want loadiine, that's because at the moment is is the ONLY viable "backup" loader. The hope is that having access to IOSU will allow true usb loaders like what we have for the Wii/vWii, but from what I understand there is no guarantee that such a thing will be possible any time soon, and certainly not alongside the initial exploit release.
