You might lose some entry points that are exclusive to 5.5.0, but IOSU will work on 5.5.1, just turn Tubehax DNS back on when you're done, because IOSU might be patched in the next update.

On the subject of piracy and whether or not Hykem will be obfuscating it, I'd be fine with it if it goes the devolution route.
Let the system check which game is in the disc drive, afterwards create an encrypted file which only works on that specific system, and then allow the backup of that game to be run based on that file.
Sure "piracy" can still happen through manner of disc sharing with your friends, but the problem would be contained to your contacts sharing games with you. No incovenience to legitimate owners, and some inconvenience to pirates. Of course what would really be great is the ability to just install the game to the system like cias, but for now that's still a dream I guess.

We got it locked around the 10th page or so, but then SonyUSA convinced some moderator that we needed more useless threads and it got unlocked...

Obviously you didn't notice that as soon as the thread was shut, there were 3 or 4 closed threads (relating to the hack) and 3 or 4 new open ones that were all talking about the same thing. It's a good way to funnel all the trash posts ;3

Hopefully someone can use his expoit to help install others. Piracy on 3ds is possible without smealums hacks but they sure do make everything a lot easier

Modern modding scenes appear to be little more than IRC circlejerks, whether it's fear of the Nintenjas or spite for the slacktivist community stopping them from actually doing anything with the tools they've made for themselves, the end result is always the same. The 3DS was a total outlier near as I can tell.

Frankly all I really want out of a Wii U exploit are emulators that I can play directly on the Gamepad (with the Gamepad's controls), if the likes of Nintendont could somehow load in that way too, that would be amazing. Back up launching is often something that I want, but frankly I'm not dying for it for the Wii U, I currently own just about every game on the system so far that I'd like to own. And unless a whole bunch more great new games are randomly announced for the Wii U, I'm ok with purchasing the other 4 or 5 games left coming to the Wii U that I'm looking forward to.
